Sea Life Sleepover 2025
On Saturday 25th October the Beavers and both Cub Packs had an exciting sleepover at SeaLife in Great Yarmouth!
We left the Scout HQ on Saturday afternoon full of excitement and headed to Yarmouth in the mini buses but before we could arrive at our destination we had to stop for some dinner.
Did someone say McDonalds! 29 happy meals please. The poor people at McDonalds didn’t know what hit them, all hands to the fryers. Once we were all fed and watered it was all aboard the buses again for the short hop to SeaLife.
When we arrived we got our very own private guided tour. There was Pacu fish as big as a Beaver, Penguins, Rays, Jelly Fish and Crocodiles. We got to pet a Millipede and see Leaf-cutter Ants walk over our heads carrying leaves they have cut to make their food.
We sat in front of the 250,000-litre Ocean Tank where we got to see Black Tip Reef Sharks swimming and a sleeping Green Sea Turtle called Noah relaxing with his friend a big green Eel. We walked round to the rock pools and got to touch a Star Fish.
We then had VR experience swimming with sharks and time to explore on our own.
After an exciting evening it was almost impossible to get to sleep under the shark tank. Even Noah the Sea Turtle woke up and was swimming around!
When morning came it was time to do a head count to make sure no one had fallen in and become shark food, have our breakfast and head home.
