Skills for Life

We aim to provide Scouting of the highest standard available to all young people that wish to join, from boys and girls aged 6 through to 18 years.

You can help us open a second Beaver Colony!

The 11th Ipswich Scout Group on Chesterfield Drive in the Castle Hill area of Ipswich is growing, but we need your help to grow a little more!

We’d love to open a second Beaver Colony, a section of our Scout Group for girls and boys aged 6 to 8 years. Beavers get introduced to new activities, make new friends and eventually move on to Cubs for their next adventure.

You can help more young people in your local community experience the fun, challenge and adventure of Scouting.

If you or one of your friends, relatives or colleagues can help make our second Beaver Colony a reality, please come along to our informal, no commitment information session on:

Wednesday 28th February at 7pm at 11th Ipswich Scout Group Headquarters, Chesterfield Drive, Ipswich IP1 6DW

We need tea makers, activity planners, tidy-uppers and helpers for as little or as much time as you can spare.

We’d love you to join our expanding team of volunteers, there’s a range of roles to suit all backgrounds and you won’t be alone. Working as a team you’ll be supported all the way to make best use of your time, make new friends, have fun and learn new skills if you need them.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions before the information session, please drop us a message via email at website@11thipswichscouts.co.uk.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
