Castle Hill Explorer Unit (Cobras)

It is our belief that at the age of 14 most young people know what they want so they have a big say on what we do with our programme.

Explorers Scouts can earn awards that are recognised by universities and employers. These are the Chief Scout’s Platinum, Diamond and the Queen’s Scout Awards, and the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

Also Explorers can train as Young Leaders, working alongside experienced adults, learning how to run activities for young people aged 6 to 14.

Our programme is built upon three pillars, those being Scouting skills, fun activities, and life skills. This is to prepare Explorers for the next step in life, be it work, college or university.

We meet at the 11th Ipswich Scout HQ every Tuesday, from 7:30 – 9:30 PM.
