Date: 28th Feb 2019 Author: Carl Reeder

17 Scouts and 5 Leaders went to Ark Lane near Southend to have a look around and this is what we did…

Friday night: Learnt how to tie super-fast shoe laces, how to read people, planned our menus and climbed on a bouldering wall.

We then did a laser challenge before having burgers and soup.

Saturday: Got up, cooked our own fry-up, Went to the planetarium, learn about stars had a look around the museum, saw bits from a ship wreck called the London. Then marched into the Town centre were given some free time to look around the shops – before we had lunch – which we had packed up earlier, travelled to the end of the pier and back, saw some seals had a look around the life boat station, saw Jimmy’s and Jamie’s CafĂ©, On the way back to camp we did our shopping for or menus, came back prepped for Scouts Own activity and prepared a Stunt for the campfire. Cooked dinner, made desert, washed up played a wide game, sat round a camp fire, sang songs, came in had another laser challenge, had some hot chocolate and a biscuit before going to bed.

Sunday: Got up, cooked our own breakfast again, went swimming, came back had lunch, packed up, cleared up, did our Scouts Own before coming home exhausted.
