What is the connection between the 11th Ipswich Scout Group and the Annual Ipswich Firework Display ?
For 37 years, the annual firework display in Christchurch Park has been organised by volunteers from the 11th Ipswich Scout Group.
The 2008 event will have a dramatic 'Adventure into Space' theme,  featuring a dramatic NASA Apollo 13 countdown, the musical adventure of ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Star Trek’ and the mystery of ‘War of the Worlds’  gripping intergalactic battle scenes and a chilling Alien attack on earth and much more….

What happens to my ticket money ?

A large portion of the entrance fee from the event covers actual event costs (hire of Christchurch park, facilities, safety barriers and of course the actual fireworks.) The rest of the money goes into the 11th group funds.

These funds cover the upkeep of the headquarters, our minibuses and vans, and mainly to ensure that the members of the group are able to do the activities they want at a reasonable cost with no compromises on quality or safety.
