    A number of new members have recently joined the unit from the 11th Ipswich Scout Group together with new members from outside scouting. The unit now has 26 members all enjoying the fun of Scouting

  The Castle Hill Explorer Scouts welcome young people aged 14 to 18 from all scouts groups in the area and new members from outside scouting.
The Castle Hill unit although run and managed by the scout district, it has a partnership agreement with the 11th Ipswich Scout Group to meet at it's headquarters and use all of the group's facilities, equipment and resources.
   
 

What do Explorer Scouts do ?

Explorer scout activities are strongly based upon outdoor activities and pursuits.
The main awards to work for are the Queens Scout Award (the highest award in scouting) and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
