Who’s Who?

Group Scout leader

Group Scout Leader is responsible for the overall running of the Scout group. The recruitment and training of leaders and the appointment of a committee chair.

Leaders and helpers
The group has 40 voluntary leaders and helpers to run its seven scout sections across 5 evenings each week. Leaders hold a warrant which requires them to undergo training for the Scouting activities and work that they do.

Group Committee
The group chair runs a parents committee to support the group, with a treasurer and secretary. The committee meets bi monthly and is responsible for the provision, insurance and upkeep of the groups buildings, vehicles and equipment. The raising of funds and social events.

Scouting is of an enormous benefit to many thousands of young people each year. As a voluntary organisation, the success of Scouting depends upon support and assistance from everyone involved. Ask if you can help.
